Having a purpose or knowing the role as an actor helps you mentally structure your environment. This purpose driven focus is referred to as a “top-down function”. Top-Down attention is knowledge driven when you use your mind to find something in the environment. You are using top-down attention this self-constructed role I telling you about is an Existentialist idea, that existentialist believe in the idea that are “existence perceived our presence”. In other words, we aren’t born with any meaning, but we construct it. Your purpose is based on the relationship between natural desires on the relationship between natural desires and the environment around you.

But if you don’t wanna create your role as an actor, the world is happy to assign you one; We live in a world that constantly asking to take a part, in their shows setting the stage for you while driving you noticed the billboards aligned along the road. Every business owner wants you to take on the role of their customer. When you go to the YouTube, Every YouTube channel wants you to take on the role of viewer. The billboard owner sets the stage by making the billboard as attractive as possible. The youtuber does the same with the thumbnail.

Everyone is giving you a possible meaning to try out, and it is up to you to decide if it is correct...

Facebook and Instagram screams that meaning, the pleasure you get with interacting with others. YouTube screams that meaning which is found in Education, Inspiration or Entertainment. The kodular screen that found in statistics or in material goods, whether it is video games, social media or an interesting conversation. Good distraction creates structure, the easily you offered to you, it imbues with meaning; unless you have a sense of accomplishment within that role.

An actor who knows the role, may see this as simple distraction. This discard pieces of information that doesn’t align with the show. They are looking to be part of an actor, who does not know the role, as other assigned to them. Facebook is designed to be distracting and it is. But only so far as you want you to know your role as an actor. It is easy choose which show you wanna to play a role in if it is a one man show, such as studying by yourself for a test. Things are really easy, set the stage and gets it going. But if the show requires multiple people it’s important to choose the cast to harmonize well with you.

For example: - If you are an Engineer or a Scientist or a technologist who wants to be positively impact the world. You may join a startup with other Engineers, Scientist or technologists, who all are working together to build environmentally friendly cars, each individual technologist may have joined the company for slightly different reason, but the reasons harmonize well with each other’s. With the grand reason of producing environmentally friendly cars, once you know your role, Choose the show. It is time to set the stage. Once the stage is being designed, every detail must be thought of and must be revised to ensure that it captures the attention of all audience members.

When actors performing live, they wanna make sure that entire audience forgets about whatever going on in their own lives and just enjoy the moment. They want to make hard for anything else in the brain. In the show the lights, the music, the chirography and the outfits are designed for the support of the score. In the other words the actors wanna to try the attention to be “Bottom-up”.

Bottom up attention is stimulation driven. Imagine an Ambulance speeding passed with its siren blazing. The loud noise and bright light immediately catch your attention. Bottom up systems are unconscious and involves involuntary and more powerful than “Top Down function”. All performances are trying to capture attention from Bottom up. Even lecture halls, lecture halls are set-up with all the seats are facing in one direction, towards the professor. The professor often has the visuals he wants to show you, the giant screen is placed behind them on the wall. The screen is behind him does the cause and everyone can see it. But it is also put down because the professor is intermediator between you and that knowledge. The lecture hall is a stage and it is set up in such a way, so that ever actor can get easily and correctly assume the role.
